Electrical Safety Testing Services
Testing and Inspection is undertaken on any installation or upgrade as required by law, and is essential to ensure safe operating standards for any product that uses electricity, and stringent requirements must be met for certification to be issued.
Testing and inspection results in issuing of certificates and achieves compliance with (BS7671:2008) 17th edition, this gives you peace of mind, and you have a copy of the work, which can be accessed at all times.
All testing is a total check on all wiring, a visual inspection is followed by the testing which is done in a specific order, to ensure a complete check of the circuits:
- Continuity of earthing
- Continuity of line conductors
- Insulation resistance
- R1+R2 (Polarity dead test)
- Earth fault loop impedance (polarity live test)
- Functional testing of all switching.
Our most commonly issued certificates are:
- Installation certificates
- Minor works certificates
- EICR/ Periodic reports
- Visual condition reports
- Fire alarm installations
- Emergency lighting installation and periodic test reports
- Landlord safety reports
NICEIC Approved Contractor
NICEIC has been assessing the technical competence of electricians for over 50 years. Our aim is to protect everyone who uses
electricity from unsafe electrical installations in their homes, places of work and elsewhere. To achieve this, we maintain a register of qualified, competent
electricians.
We look at a representative sample of the contractor’s work, their premises, documentation, equipment, and the competence of their key supervisory staff.
Once contractors become registered with NICEIC, they are re-assessed on a regular basis to ensure high standards.
